The #idea was born in pain. We spent endless hours in the lab, running experiments, writing grants, juggling general lab duties, and supervising students. Taking care of students, watching them grow, guiding them along part of their journey is the most fulfilling and satisfying job imaginable – and the most rewarding. 😊
And the most time-consuming. 😯
For reliable results, the operator must be well trained. For us, this meant endless one-on-one training sessions with each new student. ⌛
One day, at dinner in the office, exhausted and slumped in our chairs, during a merciful incubation time of half an hour, we began to dream. ☁️☁️☁️☁ Of a bright future where at least some of this burden would be lifted from our shoulders.
What if …
What if we could train our students in advance?
What if we had someone who could provide a pre-training preparation?
But we don’t have anyone like that.
What if there was a tool that could show students how to do it right?
Show them? Maybe with videos? Would that work?? 😳
Electrified, we sat upright, staring at each other in disbelief. What if we had VIDEOS to prepare our students for their later training? Wouldn’t that save a lot of time for us? 🪄
Incubation time was over, and we had to continue with our experiment. But the idea began to take shape and grow into something much bigger than we had ever imagined. 🌱🌳
This was the birth of lablife.video, the #video #tutorial #platform for cell culture labs.
Sometimes #creativity and #innovation come from sheer desperation. But this also means that there is a need. 😁☝️
